I've been working at Mimic Productions in Berlin for the past 4 years. No time to get bored, projects have been rushing all around me like people on a Saturday visit to Ikea 😵
My meagre portfolio got a kick-ass update, to a point where I'm having a hard time keeping track of the projects I completed!
I've been conducting photogrammetry scan sessions as well as facial and body mocap shoots all around the world, including an underwater mocap shoot for Marina Abramovic in NYC and a live DJ concert in a grim night club of Tokyo. Where others say NO, mimic will say YES! 😅
All in all and regardless how exhausting it can be sometimes, I have to admit that I love my job. I was afraid to get a boring one sitting at my desk all day long, but life made an Indiana Mocap Jones out of me 😎
What's next? I've been revamping my blog, since my profile is getting more and more technical lately. I finally put my hands back in dirty code, learning Python to create my own scripts and tools for Motionbuilder. I'm also catching up on C++/C# to use mocap systems SDKs and integrate the data into Unity and Unreal Engine.
I'm eventually planning a tutorial page to teach some Motionbuilder to the rookies and probably start sharing some of my scripts and tools too. I.e., stay tuned for existing stuff, this year is gonna be a blast! 😋
